WELCOME NOTE

I am delighted to welcome you on behalf of the LUCID Organising committee and am especially honoured to have taken on the role of Chair of the Committee for LUCID 2019.

You can appreciate that a conference of this magnitude takes a lot of organising and planning and with high standards and expectations of previous LUCID’s, myself and the committee are dedicated to delivering another successful conference!

The committee assembled are a great band of enthusiastic individuals representing the protection industry and LUCID via the industry clubs. They are already hard at work and looking forward to delivering an exciting, refreshing, thought provoking and educational event and once again, we are working in partnership with Hampton Medical to ensure this happens!

On what promises to be a special conference, marking the 10-year anniversary since the first event back in 2009 (held in Stratford upon Avon), LUCID is now synonymous as a brand for delivering updates on future developments and has grown from strength to strength over the years.  We are extremely grateful to all out sponsors and acknowledge that without our sponsors financial help and encouragement LUCID would not have been possible.

For the first time, LUCID comes to Scotland and is being held in Glasgow - Scotland’s largest city which is renowned for its culture, style and the friendliness of its people.

The conference is being held at the Hilton Glasgow – a fantastic venue showcasing a prime city centre location and world class facilities, allowing for easy access via rail, air and road.

LUCID strives to deliver an affordable, educational, fun and accessible conference for Life insurance professionals of all levels of experience. A platform to network and socialise and hear from leading medical experts to disseminate medical and technical advancements that are relevant and forward thinking.

We are confident that the conference will once again attract over 300 delegates and will aim to cater for a diverse and international audience of insurance professionals.

As the organising committee continue to work behind the scenes, we look forward to sharing more developments on how the event is progressing in due course.

Once again, we will be providing you with timely updates through various social media platforms such as Twitter and LinkedIn. We will of course promote and provide further information on the LUCID 2019 conference through the numerous industry club events held throughout the year!

Within this you will see we are delighted to announce the Early Bird registration is now open and we are already receiving registrations which is great news!
