COMMITTEE

I am the Head of Underwriting & Claims for Munich Re’s UK Life Branch, bringing over 25 years of experience in financial services. In this role, I oversee the underwriting and claims strategy for our UK and Irish clients, while also leading digital and innovation initiatives across the EULA region.

Prior to joining Munich Re, I worked for various insurers, reinsurers, and third-party administrators across the UK Protection market, gaining broad industry experience.

I currently serve on the ABI Risk & Data Committee and actively contribute to several of its working groups. My involvement with AMUS spans over 15 years, during which I have held positions as committee member, chair, and former President.

I am honoured to be co-chairing LUCID 2027 with Helen Croft, Head of Underwriting at SCOR and a fellow AMUS committee member. This will be my second LUCID conference, having joined the organising committee in 2024.

Currently Head of Underwriting at SCOR, I’ve worked in underwriting for c. 20 years across operational, development underwriting & underwriting leadership. I’ve been a member of AMUS for 10 years and on the LUCID committee for the last 3 events. I’m passionate about educating underwriting and claims professionals and proud of the work that AMUS and LUCID do to this end. I am very excited to co-chair LUCID 2027, continuing the LUCID legacy of developing Underwriting & Claims professionals.

Currently serving as Chair of the Health Claims Forum, I represent Legal & General and bring over 20 years’ experience in the Protection Insurance industry. I am driven by developing claims professionals and improving outcomes and experiences for our customers.

I have over 16 years’ experience in the industry, starting my career at a direct insurer, followed by a decade in reinsurance. I am currently a Senior Underwriter at Pacific Life Re. I’m a past Chair of Select 74, having joined the committee in 2018. I joined the LUCID committee in 2023, and was Vice-Chair for LUCID 2025. I’m looking forward to continuing on the committee for LUCID 2027.

My current role is Underwriting Lead with Zurich Life Insurance, Ireland. I have worked in Life & Disability Underwriting since 2001 with numerous roles both in Ireland and a brief spell in the Australian market. I joined LUCAI in 2024 and I am very excited to be joining the LUCID Committee for LUCID 2027.

Currently, I am a Senior Underwriter at Royal London Insurance Ireland, having originally started in the insurance industry as an underwriter in 1999. Prior to that, I was a general nurse and remain registered with the Irish nursing board.

I have a passion for training and developing underwriting and claims professionals and I am committed to advancing the field through education and mentorship.

I am proud to represent LUCAI, the Life Underwriting Claims Association of Ireland, at LUCID. It is with pleasure that I look forward to working with the LUCID 2027 committee and supporting the delegates and speakers.

I have been in the claims industry with Aviva for over 30 years, and something I love.

I have chaired and been part of the FOCUS committee, arranging events for Underwriters and Claims Assessors in Scotland

I have been lucky enough to attend many LUCIDs and want to ensure our next event continues to bring our industry together.

I have worked in Underwriting for nearly 20 years, with a variety of roles within Royal London, Legal & General and Scottish Widows. I was lucky enough to join the FOCUS committee in 2018 and am very much enjoying being part of the LUCID committee now. I really enjoyed our LUCID 2025 event and am very much ready to get stuck in with the organisation of our 2027 event.

I’ve worked in protection underwriting for over 25 years, with 15 years’ experience of training and developing underwriters at all stages of their careers, including co-facilitation of several specialist medical modules in conjunction with Cardiff University. Since 2021 I have worked as a Development Underwriter at L&G, focusing on underwriting philosophy and innovation, while retaining a keen interest in continuing professional development. I joined the Select 74 committee in 2019, and was part of the committee for LUCID 2025. I’m delighted to be continuing for LUCID 2027 as a committee member and chair of the Programme sub-committee.

Representing the Health Claims Forum, I was the previous Chair and now a general support member since my Chair ended at the end of 2025. In my day-to-day role, I am the Claims Technical and Training lead at SCOR, with over 19 years’ experience in the Protection Claims Industry, having worked at SCOR for the last 12 years.

I’m a law graduate by education and have a keen interest in neurology claims, and in my current role, I enjoy the continual training and development of today’s up and coming assessors.

Outside of work I loves getting crafty, obsessed with filling my flat with house plants, geeking out to comic films & TV, and ‘Trying’ to keep healthy. After multiple failed attempts at running, I stick to the gym and yoga. Namaste.
